This Cookie Policy explains how dersecur.com uses cookies and similar technologies.
Under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, non-essential cookies require consent before they are placed. Analytics scripts load only after you accept.
What we use
dersecur.com may set the following after you opt in to analytics:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated traffic, page views, and form interaction events (`form_start`, `form_submit`). Loaded via direct gtag when configured, otherwise via Google Tag Manager.
- Microsoft Clarity — session recordings, heatmaps, and behavioral signals (scroll depth, rage clicks, dead clicks) to improve page UX.
- Clarity cookies such as `_clck` and `_clsk` — used to correlate sessions in Clarity.
- First-party `_ga` cookie — used by GA4 to distinguish sessions and, when present, to link a lead submission to the browsing session.
Essential storage
Like most websites, our hosting stack may process technical data (including IP address) in server logs for security and reliability. That processing is not used for cross-site profiling.
We store your cookie choice in browser local storage (`dersecur_cookie_consent_v1`) so we do not ask on every visit. That storage is strictly necessary to remember your decision.
First-touch attribution (landing page and UTM parameters) is stored in session storage for the browser tab session only — it is not an analytics cookie and is used to attribute contact-form leads without third-party tracking.
Your choices
On your first visit you can accept analytics cookies or reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting means analytics tools will not load and no `_ga` or Clarity cookies will be set.
You can change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the site footer.
Third-party content
Public pages may link to external sites (documentation, social profiles). Those sites have their own cookie policies. We do not control cookies set after you leave dersecur.com.
Google processes analytics data under its own terms when you accept analytics cookies.
Microsoft processes Clarity data under its own terms when you accept analytics cookies.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not prevent you from using contact forms.
Changes
If we add marketing pixels or other non-essential tools, we will update this Policy and collect consent before loading them.
